This site is one part blog and one part portfolio for my personal projects and interests.  Blog posts are primarily focused on electronics, software, and mechanical design projects.  However, the Tangent part of the title is important.  As it seems all of the interests in my life are tangentially related to one another, this blog reflects that.  I find cross-pollination of interests to be one of the most enjoyable aspects of life, and I constantly look for ways to apply knowledge and skills I’ve gained in one area to another.

The Audio portion of the name tells of one of my major passions.  I have been involved in audio for much of my life, in capacities of recording engineer, live sound engineer, amateur multi-instrumental musician, electronics engineer for audio devices, and software engineer for audio products.  That being said, my interests have broadened considerably beyond audio these days, so many of the projects you will find on my site have nothing to do with sound.  I hope you’ll find them interesting nevertheless.
