It seems that I end up repairing electronics gear on a fairly regular basis. Friends and relatives often have a piece of electronics that fails, so they send it my way in hopes that I can revive it. Sometimes I’m successful, and sometimes not. It’s almost always an interesting experience, though, and there’s a lot to be learned in the process. I will occasionally even hunt down non-working equipment on the used market and take the gamble that I can repair it. This has netted me some good items for my electronics lab.
