With the vast majority of the content on my blog relating to electronics, machining, or other topics, one may wonder why I use the name “Tangent Audio.”  Audio and music are in fact still hobbies I pursue when I have the motivation, inspiration and free time.  I record my own music occasionally, and I’ve collected a bunch of demo songs that I did in the last few years made them available online on SoundCloud.

Most of these songs are the result of “self-improvisations,” where I will go into the studio with no clear idea of the final song in mind.  Generally in a single evening, I will multi-track record drums, guitar and bass parts, and seemingly out of nowhere a song (or at least a basic song idea) is born.
